What does the program consist of?
DTI’s Lactation Support Specialist Program consists of modules that include videos, comprehension quizzes, various scholarly readings, site visits to see how active IBCLCs are running support groups, and the mentorship and live teaching from a DTI educator, all available on a state of the art online platform to converse and stay connected with other students in the program. You’ll walk away from the program with comprehensive lactation knowledge and the hands-on, real world knowledge of how to apply it to doula-client conversations and interactions.

After that, you have 2 installments of $175. Each installment is billed once a month, on the date your registered.

There is an annual membership fee of $55 due upon certification. Every 3 years, there is a $397 recertification fee which covers the cost of DTI’s professional development courses.
How long does the course last?
14 weeks. A semester.
What is the registration deadline?
Registration closes 24 hours before the session kicks off.
Can I use this course as education hours toward the IBCLCE?
We submitted for approval. Stay tuned!
Is this a self-paced or deadline driven program?
A little bit of both! You can watch the videos anytime you want during the week they are available online, but they must be completed with the quiz and the homework before next week’s video class.
